How to convince somebody to stay in Poland??

I have to write a paper in which i must convince a woman (after studies) to stay in Pland (She want to go abroad and earn some money).
I don't even know how to discourage her :(
Maybe you can help me??

perhaps if it is a good reason then this is what you need to tell her

and if it is not a good reason then perhaps you need to let her do as she wishes

It won't be easy. The grass is always greener on the other side. Once the mind is made up to go make money abroad, the imagination takes over and they think money grows on trees. The only way to discourage is to let her experience herself that sometimes you have to work harder abroad than in your own country.

If it's a real life situation then telling her rather than writing a paper is going to be better. Writing does not convey all of your emotions.

This is like telling a young child not to touch the stove because it's hot. He has to touch it to know what 'hot' means.
I think she has to go experience work abroad in order to appreciate what she has. Otherwise she will always think about it. But it depends on the person. Some are happy with what they have, others want more.

But you can always show negative pictures of other countries and how hard people work......

Hi Peter. Not an easy assignment for you.

My advice would be to divide up the reasons for her staying under a number of sub headings:

1) Personal, loss of family contact and friends. How would her family react to losing their daughter/sister for an extended period. How would she feel being away from them. Invent some younger brothers and sisters - always a good tear jerker. Boyfriends etc.
2) Obligations to her country - she has received her education (paid for mainly by the state?) and she should pay something back by working in her own country first. Perhaps teaching others, perhaps by using her studies in a job in Poland. Maybe starting a business that could employ others. Should she join the exodus which has now reached the point where there are real skill shortages in her own country for just her own financial gain?
3) Th eopportunity to work abroad is always with her in the EU era. The type of jobs she could get in another eu COUNTRY WITHOUT REAL AND VALID WORK EXPERIENCE WOULD LARGLEY BE MENIAL AND NOT USE HER EDUCATION OR TALENT.

she wants to go, to earn money - it seems here goals are financially motivated. focus on here reasons for leaving and present oppurtunities for her to met them in Poland. Though I imagine that will not be so easy.

it would be helpful if you can tell us 'how' & 'where' :) not being funny, id personnally love to know.

Against:
1. Polish on Polish crime in her country of destination - extortion, rape, blackmail, protection rackets,........ can be solved by not living with other Poles

2. Jealousy of Poles at home: other poles at home will be so jealous they will speak ill of her but will be her best friend when she calls around with money. Cannot be solved - every country has greedy knackers.

3. Language barriers - signs are in english > a lot of Poles are shocked when they realise they can't even read basic road signs, things you take for granted. Easily solved - adjust to language quickly

4. Menial jobs - she may not get a job in her chosen profession and may have to perform some McJob. Matter of time - persevere and she will progress

For:
1. Develop language skills
2. Earn money for a car/house/business at home in Poland
3. Make herself more employable at home
4. Send money back to her family (not feel guilty that she was too selfish to travel abroad and earn money for them)
5. Support the Polish economy 3.5 times better than if she worked at home, and 5.7 times better than if she stayed at home without a job
6. Progress into a career in a foreign country, bring the skills home to the economic boom in Poland in 5/10 years.
7. Spread the good news of Poland to foreigners.
8. Give back to Europe and the EU instead of just Poland.

Ever heard about export and import? you can make big money in this section.
you can always work as an agency, and find jobs abroad to other polish people and take some % every month.

I work as a tax & customs specialist so you its safe to assume.

I think your means of making money as outline above is backwash. Any young person can just go to any other EU country and get all the help they need for free from local authorities

What are you providing that is different?

History is the best way to go. It's easy to start a good buisness there.
