its not a method of chatting up its just when they ask where i've traveled and i tell them all the places etc they always assume i'm rich!!!

o look... When I travel all around europe during the holiday and women hear my accent, they never assume I've got money they assume I'm from some sort of mob... isnt that strange?

well maybe they make assumptions about the UK having money or something, i don't know why they think that about you, please explain??

It happened to my once when I was on holiday with my mates in italy, summer 2005.
Met a very nice principessa and made some good friends. After few weeks when talking to her on msn she told me that she though we might be from some mob or something cuz aparently we were giving the signs (what ever bs that is)

Only for a while, finaly she came to her wits. But I had my kicks .

No actually i ask them questions about hows life in UK and things like that, ask what they look like they ask what i do i direct them to my fotka.pl page ... they generally are shocked to find a ENGLISH female using GG ... i use it as i am learning the language :) and i have many polish friends Ronek :)

If you download the most recent version of Miranda IM, it allows you to sign up for Gadu-Gadu within the program itself, in English.

Why dont you use miranda with GG plugin? you dont need a GG software to talk to you mates

[non-Polish speaker] I wanted to get GG!! I downloaded it.. I got frustrated because I didn't understand anything lool I ended up using a polish translator in order to uninstall that thing hahaha!! .. but after that, I've installed & uninstalled it quite a few times(like 8,9) I've had GG for a few days now and HEY!!! It wasn't that complicated... I got the hang of it and I understand most of the words!!.. But I found Pidgin!!(Gaim) I love it!! so far (;

ps. How many digits is the less you could get on GG?

well, theoreticaly u can get one digit gg number.but it's only given on special occasions, u can win it on charity auction (once every year - WOŚP). beside that it's random.

I downloaded GG yesterday, but everytime I want to register a new account, I get a message that it is impossible to do it rght now("nie można połączyć się z serwerem rejestracyjnym. Spróbuj ponownie później") . Do you people have the same message, or am I doing something wrong?

Don't bother installing gadu-gadu... This is a thing you use only cause people you know use it, not cause you like it. Tlen is better, same for AQQ. or just use IRC which is the best method for online chat. If you need help with any of these program PM me.

IRC isnt' very popular nowadays..
Good way is to get GG if you want to stay connected to polish folkes.
But better Is Tlen (Tlen.pl) where you can add GG number as an option. This is betteer messenger. Ora you can use jabber protocol (gg and tlen also can communicate through jabber).

The best way is to try Miranda or AQQ (http://www.aqq.eu/) with Language Packs!
AQQ can connect to MSN, GG, TLEN, JABBER and other.

Just because IRC is not very popular it does not mean it's not good. Yeah, gg is far more popular, but you have these fcking ads all over, same for tlen, aqq at least for now does not have so much of them, miranda is ad free (if i remeber corectly) but to make it useful you have to get dozen of plugins. IRC is the best way to text-talk online that was ever made, so what it is a very old protocool still works for many people

I agree, but now it's used by people who used internet in the 90's then it was (i suppose) the only Real Time Chat that gathered users from around the world (except ICQ).

now it is substitued by variety of communicator, messengers, online chats (most online chats are based on IRC. e.x. WP.PL Chat) .

But i think "Internet Elders" use IRC now. It's old - true - but good protocol.
