Translations of Gadu-Gadu

WTF. i could barely read in polish and like i downloaded GG but i cnt understand wtf it says. the problem is tht my cuzins in poland have it and since they dnt have aim or a fkn myspace i have to go on GG but yea idk were to register. haha im a loser

Ok

step 1:

download.gadu-gadu.pl/gg76.exe

step 2: Zgadzam sie ( i agree)

step 3: dalej > (next)

step 4: Istaluj (install)

When it's installed. click gadu-gadu> jestem nowym uztkownikiem (I'm a new user) > Twoje hasło (password)> powtorz haslo (repeat password) > rejestruj (register)

That's it you are a new user

for search
step1:

go to kontakty > szukaj znajomych (search)

step2:

a box will pop up Wyszukiwanie kontatów w Gadu-Gadu
Imie>name
Nazwisko>surname
Pseudo>handle/nickname
Plec>sex
mezczyzna>male
kobieta>female
wiek>age
od>from
do>to
Miejscowosc>town/place
numer Gadu-Gadu>number Gadu-Gadu
Szukaj>search Więcej>more Anuluj>stop Zamknij>close

When you do a search just enter your friends number in the box and hopefully it will come up, now you need to save it.

step 3:

in-between Więcej and Anuluj at the bottom of the box you will see some icons; hover your mouse pointer over them until you see "dodaj do listy kontatów" >add to list of contacts
Then a box will pop up and you can edit the details with the translations I gave you earlier, then ok and they are added to your list.

step 4:

This is the important bit as you need to upload your contacts to the Gadu Gadu server so you can access them where ever you are.

On the main Gadu-Gadu page go to Kontakty on the top and click it> then Eksport listy kontatów (export contact list)
Here you have a choice of saving them to your computer "Do pliku" (to file) or (to Gadu-Gadu servers) "Do serwera Gadu-Gadu"

That's it :O)

I suggest you print this out and keep it.

I'll guesse (until advised otherwise) that gadu is of the Polish gadać, to talk or prattle. it seems logical that gadu-gadu means talk-talk. ..?? Co ty na to?

is gadu-gadu an acceptable and used (slang?) term in everyday use in the Polish language,...anyone know?

When you add someone to your list, do they see you too or they don´t see you until you talk to them?

I try to register gg but everytime ystem write
"nie można połączyć się z serwerem rejestracyjnym. Spróbuj ponownie później" zamknij
Thanks to the forum, i know that it means : "registration server cannot be reached at the moment. Try again later" close
But why? And what should i do?...i already try at least 20 times :(

Can anyone help me?

PS: Email adress doesn't matter, i dont have to register to a gg mailbox or something like this?

maybe you have a firewall blocking their server?

I have powergg which blocks all ads :) GG is so popular in Poland that it is on Warsaw Stock Exchange for over a year now.

what version of GG is that???

If you use javujavu here at jaujavu.com/?page=info&lang=en you can register on gadu gadu with it and it has no ads just a straightforward program.
And its all in English :)

It's an addon to gg 6.1. Maybe there are versions of powergg for gg 7.x, but I stick to the good old 6.1 version :>. I'm used to it.
