The 175 bus which stops just outside the front of the station (the main road - you will be standing on the pavement by a very busy road, not the quieter bit at the back with lots of buses). You'll need to buy a ticket from one of the ticket machines by the bus stop and stamp it when you get on. There are also trains for the same price however I would recommend the bus which is much more frequent (several times an hour, every few minutes at busy times).

That's the 175 - it does stop on the way, but goes the quickest route to the airport.

Or SKM or KM train from Warszawa Centralna. It takes 20 minutes and there is one every 20 min.

175 goes every 15 minutes during the rush hour, and otherwise every 20 minutes or worse, not what I would call every few minutes.

That's still pretty good, and goes straight there and stops just by departures.

There's also the 188 from Metro Politechnika which also goes door to door.

There is also (for them who live in the south of the city) bus 148 from Metro Imielin.
Anyway, here are all the connections together:

I personally prefer the train - 175 can be pretty crowded and is notorious for pickpockets
Problem is that it uses two different train stations and two operators...confusing for foreigners arriving in the city.

That's why I wouldn't recommend it.

I've used that. A visitor may well be wandering around that road junction looking for the right stop though.

Mind you, a taxi from the station should be about 50zl tops.

The cheapest way is of course public transport. But if you want to get to your destination faster and in more comfortable way, I'd recommend you to get a taxi transfer. But not from the airport. You should book a car in advance online. I'd recommend you kiwitaxi transfer service as my most favourite. I've used it all over the Europe, it worked really great for me. Very affordable and comfortable one ;)

Have you been to Warsaw? At certain times of the day (i.e. rush hour) a taxi to the airport can take double or triple the time you'd spend on the train to the airport. I wouldn't even dream of taking a taxi to the airport at certain times, for example five o'clock on a Friday.

Exactly. During the rush hour, especially on Fridays, the train would be the best option, because the bus also gets stuck in traffic jams.

I would like to get to Warsaw Chopin Airport. I will be travelling from Gdansk and plan to get on the Intercity Premium train but i'm not sure which station in Warsaw i should get off from to get onto another train which connects me to Warsaw Chopin Airport. Would appreciate any info on this.

Trains to the airport go from Warszawa Centralna at the moment. They also usually stop at Warszawa Zachodnia and often Warszawa Wschodnia and although Wschodnia is the most user friendly, it's the furthest from the airport. Centralna is larger and closer to the airport. If you buy a ticket from Gdańsk to the airport, the website will make it clear where you change.

Worth mentioning that there are major building works and Centralna is connected to Śródmieście Station or was when I last travelled by train there a few weeks back. If this is still happening when you travel, you will know about it when you buy your ticket and any changes shouldn't inconvenience you.

Alternatively, a taxi from outside any of the main stations in Warsaw to the airport is not expensive. The cheapest journey there by taxi is from Zachodnia however that station is a nuisance if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues.

The PKP website mentions building work at Zachodnia so Centralna is your best bet.
