This popped up on my book of face news feed just wondering what people's thought about it are -- a beach in Krakow, i suppose those that sleep on the benches in the Planty will have somewhere softer to lay down o_0

and does Krakow really need to generate more tourists to the area by doing this?

Not sure if this would become one of the main "tourist pullers" to Krakow but I certainly think it would a good river front feature. Looks like it will be close to the old Hotel Forum - great views from here and will be no bad thing as the area definately needs some attention/renovation.

The beach you are thinking about is in front of the Poleski Hotel. This one looks like it is close to where the fair ground normally is. I have also heard there will be a marina in the Pogorze area. But this could be hype just to sell the apartments in Garden Residence.

Worse things are done to attract foreign tourists and bring revenue for the city.
