Ryanair are usually the cheapest from UK to Krakow. Got to factor in getting to Stanstead airport though. If you fly to Gatwick then Easyjet fly to Krakow, often more expensive but still reasonable.

Virginia, it would help if you tell us where in the US you're flying from. Check Orbitz.com for LOT flights from Chicago to Warsaw. From there you could catch a train to Warsaw.

Denver to Chicago, then to Warsaw? Or Denver to UK and then to Krakow? Probably not a big difference.

Possibly but if so I'd ship your bags on fdx, ups or dhl to simplify you catching your connecting flight (delays, etc), security screening, etc. For the den-lhr leg check out orbitz.com, travelocity.com and kayak.com. Low cost carriers such as southwest, wizair, etc usually don't participate in those websites so go straight to their own portals once you check out the us-uk connection.

Remember -> the fewer bags you have -> the lower chance of a heart attack! ;) Ship it a day or so earlier, get a tracking number and forget it.

Bon voyage

LOT was always the best deal I found. And they are direct from the US as well. Changing planes in the UK sucks horribly.

Fly to Berlin, Germany, and take a train to Poland. You will save about 50%.

I would like to see this laid out. My gut instinct from flying back and forth a lot says this is not true. Berlin is not much cheaper than right to Warsaw. Plus add about 10-12 more hours on the train after an already long flight depending on which train you take.

In any case I don't believe 50% less.

They wouldnt only be changing planes but airports too most probably.

When i flew to vegas a couple of years ago rather than Poland - Uk - America or Poland - America which was really expensive i just drove to Berlin and caught a flight to Dusseldorf (Germany) then direct to Vegas, the flights all in were 800 Euros. Cant remember the carrier but check out the cheap flight companies such as www.expedia.com

So think USA to Germany then train to your designated city in Poland, that will be cheapest. Look for cities Like Berlin, Munich or maybe Frankfurt.

The cheapest transatlantic flight to Poland is by far with Iceland Express. Round-trip summer tickets from Newark to Warsaw are about $500. It could be much easier to catch a cheap domestic US flight to EWR and then on to Warsaw from there.

It would cost just as much to fly that way as it would to fly with LOT right from Denver. You would fly a partner airline to Chicago and the direct to Warsaw on one ticket.

LOT

LOT is most expensive i've noticed...

i fly with Lufthansa... i stop in Frankfurt, not UK tough... and i don't fly directly to Krakow, but to Katowice... it's cheaper, takes less time and not too far to get home...
