Somebody asked me about the cheapest hotel in Warsaw. I'm not really up on hotels. They plan to visit soon (and I truly don't want to put them up at mine). They don't mind a fleapit, even miles from the centre. Any ideas?

I've driven past this place a few times and often thought it must be the 'cheapest in Warsaw' , not bad location, no idea what the rooms are like though.

Otherwise one of the Kyriad/Campanille/Premier Classe Hotels at Plac Zawiszy is cheap, can't remember which one though.

The hotel boat is as cheap as it gets from what I remember.

My memory was right for a change! 75zl per night for a single, 100zl per night for a twin and 130zl per night for a triple (and a central location too). http://www.staypoland.com/en/warsaw/hotel/aldona_river_hostel.html

I booked a Queen bed at the Holiday Inn on Zlota for about £40 for the night, thought it was quite cheap and good location but you can probably get it cheaper. Are your friends scottish, Jonny? ;)

I never could understand this about Poland, where you have to specify and pay for the size of the room.

Single, twin, familok. lol

Everywhere else you go you pay for a room or two if needed.

This place is supposed to be cheap http://www.gardenvilla.pl. The location is acceptable as well.

Just shows how you really haven't travelled anywhere in the world. I suspect the only flight you've actually taken in your life was the one in which you left Poland on.

Normal practice in the world is to state what size of room you need - only budget hotels do it 'by room' and not 'by type'. You know, I'm looking

Then again, toilet cleaners can't exactly afford a normal hotel on their wages - I guess your decisions come down to "do I stay in a 10 bed dorm or a 16 bed dorm?".
