I'm going to Heineken fest this summer and looking for a way to get to Gdynya from Cracow.
I have to be in Gdynya on July1. I have no idea how to get there ((

If anybody can help me to get information about this route? I'm looking for the cheapest way.
Thank you!

Just get a train. Second-class on a TLK train shouldn't cost much more than £20.

The train long journey though approx 8 hours i think ....
Why arent you travelling direct to Gdansk then onto Gdynia in first place they put on a shuttle bus from the train station in Gdynia to the festival ... would make sense to go there unless you are on holiday in Krakow then fair play?

these are the trains the night before ie 30th June
PKP Krakow to Gdynia

thats how much it will cost you
Informacja o cenie biletu normalnego
642 km (total kilometres travel)

kl. 2 129,00 PLN equivalent of at todays rates via XE.com = £26.52 $40.66

kl. 1 170,00 PLN equivalent of at todays rates via XE.com = £37.58 $57.59

No she can't: there are no direct flights to Gdansk from Kiev. She'd need to change in Warsaw and the flight wouldn't be particularly cheap.

The matter is flight from Kiev to Cracow is really cheap, but to Gdansk - it's not (
Direct train to Gdansk is also expensive. And I'd like to see smth of Poland. It must be great )
Thank you for answers. As i see the cheapest way is train. Don't you know, is there any opportunity of international booking?

You can buy the tickets online and then print them out yourself (the ticket inspectors have a scanner which reads the image printed on your ticket) https://bilet.intercity.pl/irez/

I have taken the overnight train from Krakow to Gdynia a few times in order to attend the Open'er festival. Yes, it's slow, but it's also pretty cheap and a relaxing journey. Get a bed/couchette and it's possible to get a good night's sleep and wake up refreshed - unless you make some new friends who make you drink vodka until the early hours. They also do a pretty good scrambled eggs in the dining car!

IMO a train is the best way to go. If you take TLK "kuszetka" you can even sleep quite comfortable for a low price.
