It took my wife and I 15 hours on our recent home run to England and back.
There were no hold-ups along the way, other than thanks to the combined incompetence of a generation of Polish governments :)

It's such a pain struggling along at 80kmh from the German border to the A2 motorway (starts at Nowy Tomy¶ł) and from Stryków to Warsaw.

Calais - Antwerp - Venlo - Hannover

One other thing - the stretch of motorway from the Polish-German border seems to be at an advanced stage of completion, so hopefully it won't be too long to wait now.

Open in November, and should be finished by October.

Strykow-Warsaw is the more interesting question - it's likely that *something* will be open for Euro 2012, but it won't be a ready motorway and will likely close again afterwards.

I did Poznan airport to Warsaw yesterday Delph, after Strykow the road is much to be improved, when you get 25 clicks to Warsaw it is much better to do a detour to Stare Babice ( Warsaw north) and come in from that side will take at least 30 mins off the journey

Wish I'd known that a few months ago :(

Strykow-Warsaw is just a disgrace right now - I did Poznan-Lodz in just over an hour in the middle of the night not so long ago, but then took over 3 hours the next morning to do Strykow-Warsaw - it's what, just over 100km? :/

About 120km.

Interesting figures from the recent long weekend.

53 people were killed and 604 injured in 462 accidents – those are the tragic long weekend statistics on Polish roads. The police arrested nearly three thousand drunk drivers – most of them (950) on Sunday.
