Gourmet food shops in Gliwice?

Hi all

I hope someone can advise me on this.

I will shortly be spending two months in Gliwice. I fully intend to live a Polish lifestyle and eat Polish food, but I am pretty sure every now and then I will want to eat food I am familiar with.

Are there any gourmet food shops in Gliwice? This means good quality fillet steaks, nice bottles of wine, etc., or am I limited to "Aldi" sort of shops?

Apologies if this is a stupid question...

Thanks!

Steve

Apparently there is an Alma in Gliwice. They've got just about everything I need. Find a decent local butcher for steaks, and there should be wine shops in one of the shopping centers around there.

No there is no Alma Market in Gliwice

I suggest ask user Seanus who live in Gliwice.

User, Zeti? User of heroin or people? ;) ;)

Joking aside, there is a good wine shop on Kosciuszki Street, not that from the Teatralny Bar (opposite a library). Also, one right in the centre near Hemingway, along towards the main church.

Fillet steaks? I know there is a steak place on Daszynskiego Street but that's further away.

I'll get back to you but please be specific. Normal steak, right?
