I meant by train Pip. Driving to Gdansk is really not something I want to do ever again (although it was always on the old road).

Got to tell you H, the trick is the time of the day, I drove to Sopot in early July on the E75, Left Warsaw at 4.30 am picked up some friends in Lomianki and I arived in prusczcz gdansk at 9 am with two short pit stops. It took over an hour from PG to Sopot but that is another story, we drove back via Torun in the late evening, completely different game.

any websites that anyone has to help me learn the history better?

When I was younger they were called libraries and bookstores. Guess what. They still are.

Harry, I'll be here all month. Send me a pm and I'll give you my mobile number.

They failed to teach you manners when you were younger...

As for the question, try Googling it. Also, the Norman Davies (?) "A history of Poland" books are supposed to be good. We were told to read them for class, at least. Read about Solidarnosc and the Uprisings, especially if you go to Warsaw or Gdansk.

Are you referring to me? I learned manners. I know not to pick my nose at the table and which fork to scratch my ball$ with. I also know where my nearest library is. Websites will give you a Cliff Notes version at best.
