We are collecting stories about lesser known places in Poland for an art project.

Can you help? Can you tell us something about a special place in your hometown?

We will love to hear from you!

We are a photographer and a filmaker, and we are collecting stories to trace a visual map of post-enlargemet Europe, by filming and photographing places as they are told by people who come from those places.

We are interested in places that have a personal and emotional value. "Lesser known" from an outsider point of view, i.e. a place that is not an obvious tourist or historical destination.

You can find an outline of the project at somewhereproject.org

Any feedback welcome!

Thank you, both Bydgoszcz and Biskupin sound interesting indeed. Do you have maybe specific stories or memories to share about these places?

"Dolina Śmierci" is a symbol of martyrology. Sad, abondonned and very depressing place. Some people were trying to pay tribute to victims of September 1939 who were murdered there in many ways.
