That is very cool.
I've seen a railroad caboose converted into a diner before (when I was young and fascinated with the railroad, as possibly all boys are...always tried getting my parents to stop there) but never an airplane.
What sort of airplane is it, you've seen the outside?

Ah the old old nutter on the bus sketch from Jasper Carrott comes to mind. I seem to get them all the time too. Either I'm an attractant for them or there just lots of them about.

Sounds wonderful!
It could be for people who are scared of heights or driving.
Do the staff say silly things like,
Put your seat back in an upright position?.
And test you on your "putting on a buckle" skills?.
I do hope they use the word "terminal", which Einstein called something in an Airport, Terminal?.

the lone pyscho

Ah so you have met in real life, I see...

That restaurant/plane looks a lot more upmarket than the one near Katowice !

It was a bit dingy inside but the novelty of walking up the stair ladders to enter the plane was worth it for that alone !

How on earth did they got the plane there mystifies me !

Well, no screaming kids that we could see but it's pretty realistic ...and I should know as I'm very familar with the airplane. It's a 747-jumbo classic meaning an older version with analogue gauges as opposed to the digital 747-400 version.

A while back shortly after the hotel opened up my ex-wife and I stayed in the cockpit suit, wanted to give her a taste of my daily life. The service was good although we didn't need anything, we were pretty much to ourselves while there (3-day stay).

I think it was a neat experience for us both and it was certainly the first time ever I got to sleep while in the cockpit lol. Well, those few moments when we actually slept... ;) wonderful memories...

Driving from the seaside to Warsaw, we saw a plane restaurant at the road E77, but I don`t remember the location. Some village starting with B.

It's an Il-18. The Russkies rendering of the Bristol Britannia or Canadian CL-44

Looks like the onboard service is not so bad. Bad thing is, you are not going anywhere :)

There is also a second restaurant plane on the way to Gdansk from Warsaw.
