I heard a nasty rumour today that Wizz Air have stopped flying in and out of Warsaw from today due to the airport's demands for more money.

I've been on their website and can't find any news about this plus you can still book a flight from Warsaw in the future.

Does anyone know if this is true?

For me, this would be really bad news as this route offers me easy & cheap access to my kids back in the UK.

Surely it can't be true? Wouldn't this just be stupid given that we have Euro 2012 just around the corner?

Where did you hear that warsawmole? It would be a disaster but not wholly unexpected considering Warsaw Airport's overpriced runway fees. The idea when they closed down the budget okiecie terminal was that all flights could be accommodated in Terminal's 1 and 2, instead they seem to be squeezing the budget airlines out. I have no problem with airport fees being raised in Warsaw but only after an alternative is provided to accommodate the budget airlines. Seeing as both the previous government and the current government can't get seem to get road or rail construction on anything resembling a schedule, I imagine we'll all be using jetpacks before they finally develop Modlin into a budget airport

It would be incredibly short sighted, that's for sure. There are a few companies going under, e.g Select Tours and Orbis being but 2. Airlines should start thinking about their passengers as they can easily cover operational costs.

It's not.

For bonus points, nothing has been done at Modlin. So I guess no reason to build the spur :)

Hello,

I found my questions answer about baggage limit for wizz air.

Simple way : 10K hand baggage free.Plus 32 kilo baggage is not free. You have to make phone to wizz air before your travel time for baggage determine .This is cheap way because if you are going to airport without call to wizz this price is going to up.

Idont know currently price but from Warsaw to Malmo for 32K is : 65zl .i dont know yet this for all fly or specific for mine:)
