I think the question you need to ask yourself is what city would you feel more at home in? i mean youre a chav so which would be the best, what have your chav friends told you AK?

It depends if you really do mean chav or maybe scally? There is a difference.

In Liverpool ( my home town ) there are plenty of scally's but no chavs.

But to answer you're question, I'd say that Manchester has more scally's and Birmingham has more chavs.

oh, and my favorite city is Gdansk, followed by Torun.

Gdansk because of the old town/beaches/forests/lakes close by and Torun cause it's small and has a nice old town/city centre.

I love Kraków, they play there in every hour a special music, which is called: "Hey now, Hey now" ;)

Tell me which one fits the description like this more:

  • wears always a tracksuit (or at least tracksuit pants)
  • wears always brand sport shoes
  • has a very short hair
  • has some macho tatoos
  • looks shabby and dirty
  • says a lot of k-word

so you like to sneer at those poorer than you? That says more about your own shortcomings than anything else.
Favourite Polish City?
Krakow in the autumn.

No, I don't sneer at poor people. I sneer at agressive young men who devastate bus stops and mug people if someone tell them to stop. In Poland they are called dresiarze and it's a subculture. It's common in Poland to poke fun on them. Have you heard a song by Big Cyc "Dres"?

I forgot about the notable book by Dorota Masłowska "White and Red".

Krakow is a favourite with me-to sit in the rynek drinking a Zywiec on a nice day watching life go by-and the beautiful girls!-is bliss. There is plenty to do there, day or night. However,it suffers from its popularity and in the summer the traffic there-and parking- is hell on earth.Almost as bad as Warsaw.I like to go upriver a few kms and walk along the river banks to the Monastery-much more peaceful-even better with female company.
Zakopane used to be a great place, but is now spoilt by heaving masses of tourists and commercialism. The Tatras are great though and there are still lovely villages if one searches them out.
I think my favourite relatively unspoiled town is Zamosc. It has a beautiful rynek surrounded by rather unique architecture and ofter in summer there are events going on in front of the town hall.Just outside the walled inner town is a nice park with lake which is really nice summer or winter. It even has red squirrels in the trees!
Somebody suggested the south-east of Poland-definitely! Although there are no cities.I suppose Sanok is the largest place but does not have much going for it apart from the open air skansen which is excellent.

All of Poland is great, some are just liked by some more than others. To each his own. It depends what you are looking for, Poland has it all.

I'm desperately seeking a place where I can sunbathe in winter. Where can I find such a place in Poland?

a good bet is Kasprowy Wierch in Zakopane - it very often lies above the clouds and access is pretty easy with cable cars - the cables system and the cars have been modernized recently - unless there are high winds

Watch out for airport personnel stealing stuff on regional Polish airports.  Which route is the quickest from Warsaw to Wroclaw?
