He he .... Very funny, the contrast with Americans and Poles.

Anyway when I meant stocky I didn't mean fat at all. But shorter and more robust as apposed to tall, gracile.

well its funny how people talk crap about fat, my daughter lives on carbs and her
body cant process fat nor can she excercise to much or she will become really sick
and we spend days in the hospital.. I really get tired of people talking crap about
fat. this could be your family that dies, instead of making fun why not help someone

sickening.. karma will show up on your doorsteps hopefully soon.

just so you know, most of these are metabolic defects, something that happens
because of genetics ...

I am so glad I don teach my family to be this cruel and I dont call other nations fat
skinny or put them down in anyway.. witek some days I think your really nice and
smart, but this thread, your dumb side popped out. I lose so much respect for people
when they are out to hurt others.. god what a shame!

did you ever see a skinny person eating a burger and she/he can eat as much as
they want and never gain a single pound and then you have a person whos metabolic
system isnt working similar and so they store the fat, wow.. did any of this ever occur to anyone? or is it just a lets put down others show???

I am done!

Very well said Patrycja.
It's who the person is not what they look like because we will all get old and wrinkly and shrivel up and die and no matter what our body looked like when alive, we will all turn into dust and get eaten by maggots .

No that is not true. I was only bluffing coz after they fill you with balming fluid no bug will come near you within 100 feet! Plus maggots don't live 6 feet under. And if the coffin is made of steel no way in hell they get to you.

do you think all coffins are made of steel? more like plastic. and if you cant afford
the proper burial, you get the homemade special.. pine and nails.. or
the good ole oven ,, there nothing will touch ya.

do you understand that most of the health problems that people face in the western world such as diabetes, cancer, stroke, obesity, high blood pressure, etc. are caused by unhealthy diets laden in sugars, simple carbs, processed foods and unhealthy fats?

Dont you see Witek,in the States everything, and I mean everything has to be turned into a "disease",they are now trying to say obesity is a disease,no it isnt,in 90% of cases it is shear gluttony and greed. By turning this into a "disease" money can be made by the health care industry and citizens can give up responsibility of self restraint and sit back and catch the "too many burgers and twinkies disease"......

You have a point ishthatu, but no need to single out the US... The abundance of refined foods is taking the toll on people, mostly in industrialized countries so far...
There is too much food everywhere, tempting with commercials, samples in the stores, visible everywhere, fast foods, convenience stores.... And yes, it's a huge business for the food industry and then for the doctors.
It also makes me sick to hear when kids are put on drugs because of ADD, when they are just being themselves, high energy "pups", who need to run after a ball in the afternoon instead of playing games on the computer. My friend's son, 10 years old, is slowly but surely catching the bug of computer fun. She threatens to set limits of computer time based on his grades to nip it in time...let's hope.

witek this is what I refer to.. and please dont tell me only america suffers with
obese people. and you werent addressing a problem you were outright making
fun like you always do.. I know theres a Problem of obesity and I work in a hospital
so I see strokes, heart attacks and diabetics daily. but not once will you ever
catch me say one bad thing about someone and call them fat.. thats what you did
and dont try to candy coat it because its in plain writing, and people have problems
whether its obesity or other issues, your going to be one of those one day, you
should hope someone will take the time to care for your sad arse because you
are going to be one of those unappreciative patients that is alone later in life..

people sway away from unpleasentness.

Of course not to single out the states (and P' I hope you realise I sayed in most cases, obviously many cases are health related.) its just that whether we like it or not what happens in the states tends to travel the world. Im with you,and another example of the american pharmacological industries greed is the labeling then drugging of kids for being what kids should be,high spirited and lacking attention when boring adults drone on. Another example, the perfectly natural,(and in my mind beautifull symbol of motherhood) strech marks women get post pregnancy are now being touted on some american made tv advert as "ugly and disfiguring" but guess what Glaxostiensmithjohnson have the answer,a medicly formulated cream.

yes but people do have a choice to put the crap in their mouths,it is still far cheaper to eat healthily than eat procesed fast food style junk.

Bizzarly no one who meets me in Poland belives I dont have some connection to Poland in my genes, all think I am descended from the '45 generation,I always then point out that actually Im totaly Celtic with only the vaguest distant family conections to Poland, not a blood line, and not the sort of "Poles" I suppose your talking about,oi vay ;)

thats commercialism, thats not what the states are about.. thats why we say
the term * you watch to much tv*

its just like when you read a magazine, why do they only put the slim slender
people in ? there is multiple sizes, but the focus is only in one look and so many
people become insecure over commercialism and what is shown to them on how
you should look..

I dont care if people dont like my looks I dont ask them to look at me, nor do I care
I am not here to impress, I would rather spend my time constructively helping others
than to make others feel bad about appearance. but when I hear it or see it,
I am instantly upset.. because children have disfigurements, and features and it makes
me extremely sick and angry to see so many hurt because people dont try to
understand something they do not know about. yet they can laugh.

so thats where I come from..

i am only stating the facts. 2/3 of Americans are overweight or obese. What is the proportion in Poland? maybe 1/3 ?

I went to the link provided by Iskra and noticed that all the Miss Polonias from at least the past five years have been brunettes. So much for the "Poles are predominantly blonde" theory.

I think it all comes down to peoples diets and ways of life, England is becoming a fatter nation and mainly this is the fault of fast food and very limited exercise, whereas fast food hasnt really caught on in Poland, although you still have your Mcdonalds and KFC's people choose to only eat this very rarely if at all and continue to eat a very good diet.

that's true for the most part but is starting to change because of all the fast food places that have opened up over the past ten/fifteen years...
Quoting: witek
usually good looking

now that's subjective. just the other day i was having this conversation about being able to tell if a person is polish by just looking at them and in my opinion if they look polish then they, by definition, can not be attractive. mind you there are attractive poles but that 'polish look' to me screams dork! i.e. ugly...
Quoting: witek
polish girls aren't bad either

actually what my boyfriend said was 'they're hot!' to each his own but i guess i should consider myself lucky since he thinks i 'look polish' and am 'hot' at the same time. if that's ever possible...

I think Polish guys look pretty hot, and the Polish girls in London were giving me a complex - until I went to Poland I thought Polish people were like the Swedes - stereotypically gorgeous... Fortunately while I was there, I saw one or two who were only average, restoring a little more of my confidence.

That said, when walking around London I can pick out the Poles before they say anything, much to my boss' amusement. Then again, I can pick the Aussies, Kiwis and South Africans, and can tell Chinese, Koreans and Japanese apart as well. I think different countries and cultures have different ways of putting together their features...

where do you get your ideas from... the polish look is dorky... define dorky... then define ugly.... it seems you need to return to school and fight with your fellow pupils about who is playing in the sand...

you should refrain from making judgemental comments that are extemeley racist ans upsetting to people..

people r people wherever they are from...
what about brazilians??????? do they have a typical look?

hey, i'm only judgemental on myself. i'm polish (from poland) and if someone tells me i 'look' polish then i think 'great, i'm an ugly dork!' i'd rather jus be judged as a person, not a polish person. besides, that was my point, there is no look, especially if someone has been living in the u.s. for some time, the've become 'americanized'. maybe some cultures can be differentiated by their dress or customs but if you throw them all in together, most of the time you can't tell who's who. and the person who says they can tell them apart is usually full of crap...
