Working together and being pro-active.
Just my opinion:- the people of Europe caused the second world war. They failed to stop Hitler even when he was obviously doing bad. They should have stoped him when he took Austria, Czech at the latest. Poland was simply the last straw. UK France came into the war to stop Hitler taking all europe, but by then it was too late. People like Hitler have always been around, are here now and will always be around. Just think - if UK and France attacked in west and Russia helped Poland in east Germany would have been stopped. At that early point Germany was not 100% sure of it's capabilities. It wasn't YET actually that great a military. Poland was actualy not doing too badly. It only gave up because Russia attacked from east and the polish army ran out of food and bullets. UK and France made a deal with Poland - hold out for 2 weeks and give us time to attack from west. This contract was broken. Instead the allies stepped back into self interest and watched Poland being crucified. The war expanded, Hitler grew stronger developed his army and the rest is history. Can we all work together and be pro-active against the real threats in todays world, whatever they may be, before it's too late again.

I don't support most things my government does. I agree with you to a point. I still think those idiots are nuts. They're not only threatening the US. How comfortable do you feel being as you're the closest target?

Short sighted to say the least! It's people like you that give extremists an easy ride.
Anyway, make sure you don't use the transport network at the wrong time or you might end up on national tv news.
Sadly, you will be counted among others in a morgue, victim of a home terrorist attack.
Care? You won't be able to my friend...

The U.S. has repeatedly said the purpose of its planned missile defense system is to protect the United States and its allies against the threat of ballistic missile attacks from "rogue" states like Iran or North Korea.

I think the Republican Party in America is causing all the problems all over the world. They are Greedy Rich people who are afraid to see poor countrys grow unless it has something to do with them getting richer. They take advantage of poor people all the time, and they get scared when they see poor opressed countrys start getting out of their control. They like to keep them poor and needy. Red Cross Needy.

Do you expect England or France to help PL in case it was attaced militrily? I don't say US would but our best hopes for eventual help are THERE not in EU, right?

No one will help us DISINTERESTED, Why USA will not help the suffering Africans? and they are "helping" Arabs?

otherwise why bother with a EU.

youre part of the club now so yes... your fellow eu states would help... its in their own interest if nothing more... dont count too much on america... poland hasnt got any oil...

It is just the former eastern block "poor" countries are willing to do what the older Europeans richer nations would not do,
Military bases, sending troops off to other lands at USA's request.

not sure i understand you raffy... are you suggesting its only the *poor* former eastern block countries that only have us bases and send their troops off to other lands...?

remeber the old europe and new Europe crap that came out when the USA/UK where trying to get their illegal war against Iraq going? Poland was one of the countries which was sniffing US ass, and it was all to do with MONEY.

Quoting: Kowalski, Post #18
Money?
I can agree that war industry lobby is pushing to sell and install their equipment in Poland or elswhere else where possible but IF you sugest some pettite corruption you have no evidence I'm afraid Mr. Raffy.

It was all about lucrative contracts for rebuilding Iraq's infrastructure. Billions of dollars worth of contracts. Do you remember Bush how he angrily threatened Canada, France and Germany that if they don't support him in Iraq they wouldn't get any contracts? Well Poland sent one of the largest contingent of troops after US and UK (and they are still there) and then got screwed up by US and got no contracts whereas France that didn't support Bush got some contracts.

Alright, Look, I'm from Poland who now lives in America. I serve in The United States Air Force. I think it is highly essential for US bases in Poland. It's not only good for the economy but for the community. It'll make our country known and yes probably hated by the Russians but who cares what they think. We won't be living in their shadow anymore, but making Polands voice known. I'm not ashamed of needing or having Americans in my country and neither should you. I have a lot of family in Poland exspecially in Kshesin, where most of them live. They all think it'll be great for Poland. I don't understand why your so against it. In fact, I think it'll be an honor to let the Americans have an instalation in Poland. Not only is it helping us but were helping them. It's a trade. What more can we ask for? We have their backs and they have ours. So as a Polish citizen and American I voice my opinion on this that we should allow the US to have a base(s) in Poland.

The last thing I want to see in Poland is the American military.

They will be as disliked as they were in Berlin during the times of the wall.

And yes, I was there, so I do know.
