Although born in the UK, and being eternally grateful for the opportunities given me in the UK, I consider myself to be Polish as both parents were Polish war refugees who came to the UK in 1948. Legally I am Emglish, but in terms of blood I am Polish. I have a good knowledge of Polish history, speak Polish, observe Polish traditions.
Whenever I visit Poland I sometimes sense a hostility towards "Poles" such as myself, but the vast majority of Poles are very friendly and keen to understand where I "am from". I love Poland and would like to live there one day, maybe sooner than expected as I have met a wonderfully delightful Polish lady.
What are other "Angl-Poles" experiences?
