It was sarcasm what I mean is`that Americans are famous for eating rubbish food and not knowing anything about the world outside the US.

Yeah I know what you meant, but it makes no sense do to the fact that we have some of the best restaurants in the world. Yes, we may've started fast food, but not everyone eats it.
How can you say that we know nothing about the world outside...I think we're the largest melting pot. Maybe you're just referring to our rednecks....we all have them.

The bottom line is....your taste isn't too good and YOU need to get to know the world outside the UK.

NO I dont eat monkey brains if that is what you mean, so exposer to that would
make me puke!

I dont eat bugs , or prefer them in chocolate like they do in some other countries
and really dont care how much protein they have, If I had to eat them, I would only
if I was starving in a jungle. but dont find them a delicacy in no way because they
are part of a smaller food chain. and someone got mixed up on that when they
made the food chain! lol

some of the things eaten in other countries dont appeal to me, I agree on the garbage
food, pure veggies, fruit, meat starch, basically what is needed. and FYI Chinese is not
as healthy as you think , they cook with lots of grease , rice by itself is good, but the
other stuff is made in a vat of grease as well and was dubbed "not good for you"
and up there with MCDonalds.

Prob. burgers/chips/ but, I'd expect a wine bar to be a bit classier. They are in the US anyway. This guy doesn't sound like the owner of a classy place.

agree, he is looking for cheap help, that has to look a certain way. so if the customers
focus on the person waiting on them, the food must be god awful so they forget what
it tastes like. lol

but that is wrong to ask on a forum , any businessman who needs help can have
people apply to his business, and advertise in a regular news paper.

its called Help wanted ads Wine bar<~duh

Well for starters estimates say between 7% and 20% of american have a passport wich is a shocking small amount for a western country. American news is famous for its insular reporting and I am very well travelled thanks.

With regard to my taste I have been trained by french sommeliers also work as a chef when I need to and have eaten in alot of the top restauants around the world.

As a side note I only posted the help wanted add as a joke to the manager of a restauant who is Polish and told me to go on a Polish forum to practice the Polish she has been teaching me.

Dont try and backpedal you didnt say one word of Polish. The people here would
have been more than happy to help you.
As you can tell by insulting them it got you nowhere all it did was make you look like fool.

I am not in anyway back peddleing. The Polish languange thing was the reason someone else suggested I look on a Polish forum I had no intention of posting in Polish and never claimed thaqt I did. Can't you Read

So what ?why do I care where you have been ? It doesn't matter if you are better traveled than Filias Fog its irrelevant to the point. Americans in general are insular and know little of the outside world. Your personal experiences are irrelevant to this fact.

I am interested in your completely inane comment about how USA has all these great chefs. Most of the chefs there that are any good are probably European or at least trained in Europe but I am interested in how you established that. Kentucy fried chicken doesn't have chefs you know.

I diddn't insult anyone either I made a valid point about Polish food accept it or not who exactly did I insult.

I think you Americans need to learn to read and react to what I actually write not react to some made up things that you seem to think I have said.

No, it has a colonel but who eats this stuff? I think the most money comes from our international locations.
Also, we have 2 restaurants in the top 5 in the world.

To me, your comments are null and void. It is a fact that we're surrounded by culture and do have some fantastic ethnic restaurants and some of the best culinary inst. So, for you to come here and say that all we eat is fast food is just ignorant. Yes, some chefs may be european...but there here now and we're eating it

This is just an opinion. Most peope here have to save a lot of money just to be able to afford a trip to Europe. When we go, we go to SEE the country and experience the culture, not just to go there to get drunk and have a stag night/wknd out. Also, we have a large country that has many ethnic areas where we can experience many cultures without having to leave.

You didn't make a valid point. You've tried 2 things and insulted a nations cuisine based on these 2 things that you didn't like. Being even remotely involved in the culinary field, you'd have a respect for all foods...yet you base this on saurekraut. That's just lame.

Apart from being completely false (I have seen plenty of American lads out drinking looking for hookers) How on earth is that relevant to the discussion at hand ? Was it supposed to be some kind of Anti ngland insult ?

Not at all...it was in reference to your comment about not many of us having passports. It's not as easy for us to affford to travel to EU, so when we do......

I really can't call you a loser just because I don't agree with you,but I still think you should get out and try some different dishes. Give it a chance...just don't get anything with sauerkraut.

Think of them like missionaries Chris; they're in the uk to spread the good news that their country is great!
Or maybe they just like pissing you off... Your mileage may vary...
