Excellent news ? The same day the 4000th soldier is killed, Russia sign a massive Oil deal with Iraq. Result ? I dont think so.
Polish dying so that Russia benefits ?
Excellent news they are shipping oil here finally (if your source is credible, but I am assuming it is).

Half a million civilians, 2mln refugees.
Depends how much you value innocent Iraqis lives I suppose.
Sure. If you say so. You and I both know the numbers wrt civilians is completely made up. We may never know until everything is over and done with. I also wonder how many of those "civilians" were toting RPGs but because they weren't in "uniform" are being labeled as such...

Comparing Iraq to D-Day - what an insult.
Let's see....one is an invasion to depose a despot bent on destruction, who was slaughtering his own people to boot, and had become a threat to other countries around him....the other is an invasion to depose a desot bent on destruction who was slaughtering his own people and had become a threat to other countries around him. I see. Completely different.
You also totally missed the point. People are whining about 4,000 mostly Americans dying (btw that would be combat forces like myself), as if that were some grievous loss as wars go. It is not. What would have happened if people wanted to quit the first time things looked rough at D-Day? My grandfather and my great uncle were there, and my other great uncle was at Iwo Jima. Should they have quit when they saw that not only the enemy dies in combat? For the most part, the Iraqi soldiers engaged in the beginning of the war weren't the ones drilling peoples' kneecaps or hanging them from cranes, and nor was the average German faced by my forbears the one who set up the death camps in Poland, Germany, and elsewhere. We fight the battles of other citizens who will not or cannot go for themselves.
The "what an insult" comment from someone who doesn't serve nor even truly know what is or isn't happening is somewhat humorous. War sucks, it always has and always will. If it didn't it would be a team sport.
I think the point is valid.

edit: what an insult vice how dare you...don't want to put words into anyone's mouth...
