Do many Polish people in America hate Americans?

stop trying to generalize french canadian vs english canadian

I'm not generalizing at all, I'm pointing out your mistakes, that's all. Now, that you told me, your first language is French, I understand why your English sucks so bad but don't worry about it, at least you're very pretty, according to the pic in your profile ;-)

ilmc, and again;you mentioned confusion and that is where it comes from.I'm not suggesting that you hate all American. There you go saying most Americans.Have you met most Americans. If I came on here saying Most Canadians this or that. The reaction would be the same.I myself am not blinded to anything and am well aware that our government has it's flaws.I don't think that our Country is the best country in the world; It's the country I want to live in.

no i say most americans i have met.. not most americans... atleast this is what i meant... most of the ones i have met have been ignorant and some... have been nice. I have met a lot of americans but no i cant say i have met the whole country i have been to a lot of the states although never the southern ones. I would love to visit new orleans

our government has it's flaws

nothing is perfect, not here and not in Canada or any other country for that matter

I don't think that our Country is the best country in the world

true, there's no such a thing as the best country in the world but we love it, just like Canadians (or anyone else) love their country too.

ilmc, thank you for the clarification, unfortunately when it is written and you can't talk to someone face to face it can be difficult to discern what someone means.I think that if I had to pick up stakes and move to Canada,I don't think it would be a culture shock and I feel that adjustment would be easy.It definitely wouldn't be like moving to Europe imo.You should love your country and there is nothing wrong with that.Even if the Bruins are the better team:)lol kidding. As much as I hate to acknowledge it;Montreal has the best historical record in the NHL.The Habs are my second team.

a lot of american hockey teams are better these days ( most of them are filled with canadian players though) Depending where you moved you would be surprised about the differences in culture. that being said this is a post about polish people hating americans not canadian culture so lets not change the subject... bash on polish american haters bash on . lol ...

And if you moved to any english speaking country the adjustment would not be as difficult as say moving to some parts of europe. I don't think britain or scotland or ireland or australia would be any more of an adjustment for you than canada... Just the weather in each country lol. That is just simply a reduction of language barrier and not necessarily all aspects of the culture. Some americans would have more difficulty fitting in in Canada than others would. Depends where they are from and where they are going.

i haven't met too many hateful poles period... i happen to have a love affair with polish people... but perhaps polish people in canada or polish people in the u.s.a are different from polish people in poland...

The polish people i have met are always very proud but never arrogant.

whatever state that is

So if you are serious, come to NJ. But good luck finding a job and better luck getting hooked up into the "clan". You and I are the wrong . . . let's say orientation at birth, so we are not privy to these types of arrangements. Besides, I woudn't work for anyone perpetrating theft. I have enough of that just wangling with tech contractors who are akin to overseers in this day and age.

these scenarios happen in connected areas of immigrants like NJ, Illinois, Brooklyn, New York, Buffalo, Michigan every day of the week especially during the building boom.

A guy who runs a construction proprietorship is probably happy to pay that rate if he gets a certain quota for completing the project early. He makes a bunch of money on materials (whatever is left over and whatever "goes missing"). He is not paying tax nor benefits, doesn't maintain insurance, doesn't pay employer taxes. Additionally there is goodwill factor that someone will refer him and his crew to do another project.

I know what those people spent and what they had -- and what they left with. I know the guy was making $1500 min a week before they went back. once in a while in winter, he would not be working but doing side jobs. They didn't even get issued a green card.

I am in the same situation as you. My first job was 35 years ago and I have always been in the workforce. I was offered $6-$700 a month temporary assistance when my back was out. I had to show every iota of my financial situation and pay for a copy of my birth certificate (even though I had a ss card) to present to the state benefit intake.

my comments were no different than they are now... i still feel the same way about it all ... you are just interpreting them differently now that i told you i am really never very serious..

i am not your princess i am actually far froma princess ... and i certainly don't need a prince ... they suck i prefer my men rough

i am not polish... yeesh

and although you are an american i think you are quite nice and fun to talk to so see i must not hate all of you although you are one of the few americans i have found quite nice and fun to talk to ... maybe it is becasue we are not in person so you cant be loud

Not she doesn't look very Polish

don't forget, I lived in Poland for a while. My opinion is based on what I saw over there. I wouldn't necessarily say, there are many girls as pretty as she is but the ones that are pretty, look just like her.

my comments were no different than they are now.

maybe you don't see it but you sound a little different already and you're becoming a nice lady (not only pretty anymore).

they suck i prefer my men rough

OK, I'll be rough for you then, LOL

and although you are an american i think you are quite nice and fun to talk to so see i must not hate all of you although you are one of the few americans i have found quite nice and fun to talk to ... maybe it is becasue we are not in person so you cant be loud

you see, I told you, you're becoming a nice person and thx for being nice :-)

good for you, man. Look, there's nothing wrong with being Polish or anyone else for that matter. British, American, Polish are just words without any deeper meaning, it's you who makes the difference.

Aww there always is what is under the rock. *sigh*

After my old company sold..that kind of Shennanigans is why I quit employ of the company who bought us out. Chincery and theft I can't go for (SSID shell games and cooking the books-I was the bookkeeper and Jr. Foreman. Was NOT gonna sign off on those)

As times get tougher, sometimes I do waver in resolve ..you can't eat principles.

It is true. I know had I chosen tactics over principles, I'd probably be able to vacation more : ) There's no rest for the weary . .. .

yeah but over 20% of Americans claim German descent so it's just as much German as it is American ;-)

i assume youre aware that the hamburger takes its name form the German city of Hamburg, in the same fashion that a frankfurter (hotdog) takes its name from Frankfurt.

no it is actually entirely german and not at all american... just another borrowed food americans like to call their own although americans did destroy the beauty of the home made hamburger with fast food joints, not that canadians are any better there... hard to find a good hamburger in north america
