I would like to know what the procedure is for Polish nationals who would like to work in Canada.
How long can you live in Canada while searching for a job, is it better to search for job before leaving and how do you go about applying for a work permit?

If you are a Polish national living and working in Canada, I would be glad if you can share any information you have.
If there are any on this forum who have useful links, I would very much appreciate it.
You can aslo PM me.

Thank you.

Read this AMA:

1 Withdrawals are here every two weeks , on average, have slightly more than 2 thousand CAD.

2 I rent an apartment. - " 1 Bedroom" near the center of [ care about the distance to the center and communication ] . 1100CAD pay for an apartment per month.

3 If you're talking about Toronto is a lot of it is probably an understatement. In Toronto, more than 50 % of the population are immigrants , most of them are colorful. The norm is that at the moment you pass someone who speaks a different language. Much also depends on the area , there are places in Toronto where hard to meet white . If we are talking about small towns some 300-400km of Toronto is actually color is much less. The Chinese are starting there post their small shops . Total inflow of foreigners is huge. On the one hand it is beautiful in the country.

For example, in my work for 15 people of 12 different nationalities , and there is only one true Canadian (ie, his parents were also born in Canada).

4 There are four metro lines , two major (yellow + green) , and two smaller ones. After that there are a lot of buses / trams. The communication is so that while on the subway , you can rely on, every few minutes minutes ( during peak hours every minute / two ) is a train , then bus has different case . In the morning I always have the bus on time is about so much after work I sometimes wait up to 30-40 minutes for the first bus . The second issue is the size of the city, when you want to go somewhere else then you have to reckon that it takes at least 1.5-2h to get there . Overall the city is well connected , everywhere can be reached without a problem, but sometimes it takes a little bit .

For comparison with Wrocław the impression that in the vicinity of the center of bus / tram stops are much more likely than in Wroclaw.

I think you could come as a tourist and search for the company which would like to sponsor your working visa. How long? As long as your tourist visa is valid.

The guy from linked AMA took part in program called "IEC - International Experience Canada". It allows limited number of young Poles to work for 1 year in Canada. You can also apply for some sort of working visa for professional if you are young graduate of engineering (and few other specialties) with knowledge of English and preferably French and some working experience in your field.

Hi folks!

My name is Artur, I'm 25 and my dream is to live and work in Canada. I'm not sure if it's right place to write it, but I'm looking for any opportunity to realise my dream. I was born in Poland and I'm living here untill now. I'm working since I was 18. When I past high school I began to work in the office, then I decided to move out to bigger city - Wroclaw. I was working in many places like office, factory and as the delivery driver where I'm working till today. I'll be appreciated to get any conntact from you. I love to spend my time with animal's, so any job with them will be great. I'll be glad to get any information or help or even any contact with someone who could help me. My knowledge of english language is not so bad but it's obviously not perfect. That's why I'm still working on it.

looking forward for any respond from you.

Here is my email address : arteczek@vp.pl
