Wearing a white over red in America - Independence Day (11 November)

Wondering what other people (mainly fellow Poles of this forum) would think of wearing a white-over-red (national colors) armband on 11 November in America.

Would it be considered acceptable? I know Bronisław Komorowski and First Lady Anna are to make patriotic rosettes with schoolchildren for Independence Day, but would an armband be viewed in good taste in place of a rosette?

Perfect. Of course, when I graduated from college in the States and got my first job with another graduate from my university, he was shoched to find out that there was a French Revolution. He's only heard of a Bolshevik revolution. Be prepared to answer dumb questions from puzzled, but well meaning, folks that there are other independence days other than 4th of July. Tell us how it turned out.
