Hello there you lot...

My names Ben and my friend and I are visiting Krakow on 25th Apr till 2nd May for my friends birthday... we are looking forward to this!!

We are both English and live in London...

So far I have used info from this site to book flights and accomodation and have a rough idea of the attractions and heretige that there is.... so thank you as this has been most helpfull...

We are staying at hotel south central near the river, which I thought was a nice base camp..

just wanted to pin down some definites, heretige wise, that we must do within the city or close by... bearing in mind the time schedule..

We will be visiting Auschwitz on the Monday and were wondering if there was a best option to use for this, i.e. travel to and tour wise...

Also, where would the better clubs/bars be, both during the day (Sunday!) and in the evening..? I am a member/producer in the London Techno Collective but my friend is much more of a House/Trance fan, and it is his Birthday after all! We would specifically want to avoid, if possible, the places where the idiot stagg parties go to as we do not want to be associated with reprobates..

As to cuisine, we have Polish friends here and they have compiled a list ot traditional dishes that they recommend we try... Which restaurants would we try to give us the best examples of Polish cuisine...?

Any pointers would be much appreciated... Thank you

Krakow is not a big city - you should be able to see big and small attractions in and out within 3-4 days. I imagine there's always something going on in the city so you won't have problems finding a good place to eat or party.

Thanks Tlum...

If anyone has any specific favourites or recommendeds please let me know, as we would rather make a beeline for these rather than having to sift around..

I know its nice to 'discover' places but a few pointers would be welcome..

We've all been there, when you visit a place n then on the last day you come across a bar/restaurant that is just to your liking n you say, "Wish we'd found this place sooner!"... heh heh

Little, Ive been a couple times and the clubs are pretty good, they are in to hip hop in a big way Try Prozak, its a good night and Rdza is also pretty cool, not sure of the addreses, you will have to ask for directions when you're in Krakow as for eating out, most restaurants are very nice
