Looking for reliable British or American worker to keep my flat clean while I'm at work. Can possibly offer accommodation on kitchen floor while you get sorted.

WILL PAY IN ZLOTY RATHER THAN POUNDS / DOLLARS!

Don't miss out!

Well, maybe, but you'll have to split the earnings between you. :)

You should put up a posting in the washrooms of the local train station. I hear thats where all Brits / Americans live while in Poland.

Thanks, I might try that. I feel sorry for these poor devils running from a crashing economy and a society in turmoil. There are probably charities that help them back to their own country but I sometimes feel it my duty to offer them the chance of a better life.

I would like to take the job but is there a shop locally which sells only English food as well as an English pub where I can socialise only with English people. Can you arrange for my children to be brought over and taught Polish for free and provide me with a car (it doesnt have to be insured or taxed because I dont have a licence.

By the way, can you help me get a Polish driving licence?). I am happy to work for zloty as I hear they are worth more and more everyday which is good becasue the only reason I want to come to Poland is for the money. We all have a right to a beter future for ourselves and our families and lets face it, I wouldnt come to Poland for the food ;)

Well, we have a Tesco's round the corner which sells authentic English food (beans, cheap bread, bad beer) so you'll feel at home. Regarding the English social life, it's best to go to the language schools where you'll probably see a couple of English expats working as teachers for bowls of soup.
Don't worry about the kids! They can go to state school or help clean the flat - there's space in the cupboard for them if they don't like the kitchen.

I have some friends who are builders and they hear that builders in Poland are in short supply.

They also hear that builders in Poland are able to demand extortionate wages often much more than they would get in England and Germany. They would like to come and stay in your cupboard if this is possible.

Dont worry about my kids, they can sleep in the kitchen with the rest of my family. There are about 7 builder friends but they say a cupboard is fine as long as the rent is cheap between them all.

They are all trained, professional builders with certified qualifications and not cowboys who have just done a bit of DIY and now think they can build a conservatory or install plumbing. They are also insured so that if anything goes wrong with their building you can be sure they wont just disappear back to England without fixing things.

I am glad there is a place nearby where I can by beans and soggy bread. Maybe I can teach a few hours private English lessons for a bowl of soup. It would have to be Heinz though.

They will sleep where they are told, dont be getting ideas above your station. How unbecoming.

Very true - We're crying out for hard-working English tradesmen. I'm a bit reluctant to allow English builders into the house though. I read in the paper that they stay up all night drinking cups of tea and saying 'Wot cowboy did this then?". I'm no racist and I'm sure they're nice people but there are children living next door.

I hear that they like to get drunk, run around half naked and do rude things to garbage cans. Shameful behaviour.

URGENT!!!!

I just spoke to some friends and they would like to come too. There is about 1.5 million of us in total but dont worry, some of us will pretend we are not there and maybe people wont notice.

We are happy to do any jobs and we wont be much of a strain on your social system. Some of us promise to pay tax and the difference between what we pay into your system and what we take out will not be noticable, well, at least for a few years.

I know 1.5 million is potentially quite a high number and that many of us will be coming uninvited but if we all come pretty much at the same time perhaps it wont be so bad. Afterall, if people wanted to come to our country we would be happy to welcome them and bend over backwards to make the feel part of our society - change street names for example.

Can we expect the same welcome in Poland?

I forsee a strain on the Polish Dental system. 1.5 Million Brits coming to Poland, all looking to get their tooth fixed. It doesn't look good.

I foresee a rise in unemployment benefits because the chavs that are about to decend on Poland are not likely to work but stay at home and drink tyskie and smoke L&M's all day long looking after little Britski and her three little brothers..

We were just invited as were the PL to UK. As long as it's an opportunity to make zloty why not? I'm sure the more educated Polish would still get the better paying jobs, so I don't think there will be too many complaints....except from maybe the laborers.
The dollar is still more than double the zloty, but at least the food and drink are
worth it :)

Do you have some soft cardboard for the kitchen floor?

Isnt it heart warming to see the Queens English spoken in all classes dont you think? ROLF...

Don't worry about that - Tescos don't!

Well, I'm not sure about the street names but I know in Wroclaw and Lodz the local council has built special roads to the trading estates with good names - "victims of the 9-11 terrorism street" leads to a well-known American firm for example. Also you will find English absolutely everywhere from corner shops to national monuments so even the Poles in Poland feel like they are in England!

Come come Shelley. We must not persecute a whole nation because of some lazy neverdowells. We must accept these casualties into our homes to show them that there is more to life than wife beating and alcohol-soaked hooliganism.

does your boyfriend know...whilst Im on to that, I aim to build a gay village just like the one in Manchester, we can even it name the main street the same "Anal Treet" (damn vandals keep scraping off the C and S)...Im sure that this should speed up the acceptance of gay people in Poland...and also cash in on the power of the pink pound whoops Zloty..
