Quoting: gdj67
a registered charity

The problem is a regular "registered charity" may only give up to 50% of their donations to the people in need, while the other 50% goes for bureaucracies, dinners, meetings, salaries, etc.

My feelings exactly...................but I can't see us raising that much money by asking for donations for PF. We may get a few members digging into their pockets, but I doubt 'joe public' will be so generous.

To be honest I'm more inclined to go with individual team members organising sponsorship for their own worthy causes.

I've been doing some star jumps and practising spelling out "Give me and L, give me an O..." etc and "Give me a G, give me a D, give me a J..." etc :D

Tomorrow I'll try tossing my pom poms in the air and catching them! :)

Hey guys.... how's the training going?

I've not pushed further than 6 miles so far. Life and other stuff keep getting in the way.... The plan is to step things up in the coming week.

How about inventing the 1/4 marathon? Or, better still, the 1/10 marathon

Have run this race 2 years back.

A non-descript route - Krakow is the place to find a great run.

Warsaw is an out and back course - well organised, but I can not
find anything too encouraging more than that.

I would tell you about the hills, but there are no hills - Imagine running
on the M25 for 6 1/2 miles, coming back over a junction, and retracing your steps.

Mentally, not physically, a challenge, and the organizers were
up for the job. Great crowd support, at the 13 mile point.

Having said that, good luck to all you guys
that have put the miles in.

Maybe this event will grow from the 1100 when I ran it.
I hope that it will.

I'm very much interested in running. Would love to participate in a half marathon or so, or run with a group along the river. I need to train cause I'll be participating in a marathon in May. Anyone aware of any activities here in Warsaw? Would love to join!
