WhizAir - is it a good airline (Katowice-London)?

My wife and I are going to Poland for Christmas and New Years to visit her family. We are planning to jaunt from Katowice to London using WizzAir! The flights seem to be cheap and such but are there any catches or things I should be made aware that I might not normally see from other airlines?

The reason I ask is because the prices seem to good to be true. Anyone who has used WizzAir! or knows someone who has that might be able to give me some info, it would be appreciated.

Thanks!

well... price might not include tax... you might have to pay extra for your baggage... inflight snacks are not included... you get what you pay for... a flight from A to B with no added extras...

Wizzair is a low cost, no frills airline. Like all of them the earlier you book the cheaper the prices. I've used them a number of times and never had a problem. I think at the moment they have no plans to charge for hold baggage unlike companies like RyanAir who are doing so, As with all low cost airlines the chance you take is the realtive lack of aircraft and their aggressive turn round times. If a plane has a technical fault you will run the risk of heavy delays.

Wizz Air ..........no problems at all. travelled Liverpool to katowice last year paid just taxes. I also thought there would be big problems but everything was just fine, a little like a bus that runs on time. Booked the transfer to Krakow through them also nice and easy all the way.
Flying with them again this year same as " taxes only " this time having a hire car through them also.
Go or it Chicago Tom it will be O.K...........Peanuts are good too.

It's just the name "Wizz Air"......don't think I could book a flight on an airline with that name! :) Makes me think of a toy remote controlled plane....loud buzzing sound :D

I noticed the same thing myself. I should have booked a while back, but did not. That being said, other than WizzAir! are there any other low budget airlines flying from Katowice or Krakow to London?

Easyjet fly from Krakow to London (Luton & Gatwick I recall)

Ryanair fly from Krakow to London Stansted and I believe they have a flight from Katowice but I think it goes to Bristol though
