WIKARSKI-POLISH ARMY & DIPLOMAT QUESTION.

I have discovered a person identified as an Army (Polish) Captain Stepan Wikarski listed on a manifest for the S.S. Queen Mary sailing to the US from south Hampton, England on 28 October 1936. He was accompanied by his wife Halina. His place of birth was listed as Wiatki, Poland; his wife Warsaw, Poland. Their last permanent address was listed as Warsaw. They both had a “Diplomat” status stamp.

Given the pre WWII time frame, am very interested in finding out more about the purpose of their trips and any possible family connections. Any information or guidance on how to go about this would be greatly appreciated.
