Hi folks,

Im Scottish and dont know much about Polish football.

While in Krakow recently I bought a Wisla Krakow replica shirt. Its blue and has 23 Pawel Brozek on the back.

I was just wondering if he was any good!!!!???!!!??

I know his brother plays for Wisla as well and he was in Polands 2006 World Cup squad, I wonder if anyone can give me any further info??

Dziekuje

Craig

Yes, Pawel Brozek is very good, forward player; he also has a twin brother Piotr. I think he was in Poland WC 2006. He may still be in Euro 2008 if Poland qualifies. I heard Anderleht and some other club from Spain (Atletico I think) is interested in him.

Brożek twins used to be "hope of Polish football". Unfortunatelly one is nothing more than quite good and the other one doesn't even play in the first "11" of Wisła.

I assume that Pawel is the better of the two?

I heard that Piotr sometimes captains the Wisla side.

Wisla is now my team.

I kocham Wisla Krakow!!

Thanks for the info

I don't know. Maybe that happens sometimes but usually he doesn't even play in the first 11.

Durring communist times Legia was Army club, and when there was any good player in other club, army was sending him "invitation" ;) to army, and instead of serving in army they had to play for Legia ... it is old story but in other parts of Poland Legia isnt popular ... as to their team nobody expected succeses of Legia in this sezon but they play good and I think they will be near the top of table.

The table

http://sport.interia.pl/pilka-nozna/orange-ekstraklasa/tabela

I like the most Jagiellonia Białystok ;) they are not to good but I support them, Wisła is in friendship with Jagiellonia ;) so I like them too. Some times I go to watch Lech (I live in Poznan) they play good and have nice stadium.

So

1) Jagiellonia
2) Wisła
3) Lech (just because I like to watch the game and I live in Poznan)

Yes i know all these projects, and i must say that the Baltic Arena (Gdansk) will be great, and if i can, i'd booked a place for the Euro 2012 in Poland ;) And National Stadion seems great too, bigger than others, more seats, a real national stadium, at last ;)

The UEFA said that they worried more about the situation in Ukraine than in Poland where it's better organized... ;)

Ukrainians have more problems with other infrastructure than stadiums ... I hope they will deal with it.

Yeah...i heard that Germans would be glad to help Poland, if help is needed... ;) It'd be better not to receive an helping hand from anybody, let's organize everything by ourselves ;)
