I believe that Wisla are playing Legia today.

Does anyone know if this game is live on Polish TV , and if so what time is kick-off and which channel is showing the game ?

Wisła has a much better team but the game is in Warsaw and Legia is fighting for the 2nd place wheb Wisła is already the champion, so I would say that chances are 50/50.

If Sopcast is showing it, please tell me what channel ;)

If i remember well, Wisła will play the Champions League next year, right ? (Platini said that...)
Btw, Patrick Kluivert may join Wisła for next season. Maybe Victor Agali too (saw it on Onet.pl)

:))

Wisła losing 2-0 after 47minutes ..... and have had one player sent of :o(

Let's just hope of a Fulham-like comeback and we can win 3-2 ! ..... not holding too much hope though :o(

Yep, Wisła is the best ;) But i must say that Legia has a nice team too.

Can anyone tell me who will play the Champions League (Wisła i guess), and who will play the UEFA Cup ?... Things have changed lastly.

Nooo ! Michel Platini (the UEFA president) said not long ago that from now on champions from Poland, the Czech Rep, Hungary and Romania (i'm not sure about the last ones) will be directly qualified for the Champions League.

well last year Wisla had to qualify for the Champions league stages same as the fourth place team in Enlgand. I thnk they were knocked out by Olympiakos, or at least a greek team.

I don't know how many uefa coefficients Poland has at the moment but they may not have enough to have 1 automatic qualifier to the group stages.

well i heard that he wanted to make the champions league more for chapmions, to do that he wants to take away the third and fourth place spots from Italy, Spain and England. THen hand them over to other countries so that their champions can play in the champions league, this gives them a chance to grow and earn the same sort of money the bigger clubs do. THis will enable them to buy better players, have better facilities which i think is great and what the 'CHAMPIONS LEAGUE' should be about, a competition for CHAMPIONS :)

Exactly !! I'm tired of seeing always the same super-rich clubs growing and buying superstars over and over again... This system make them get even bigger, and the others smaller. That's not fair. Sport is more than money ;)

Btw,

If Wisła wasn't going to play the Champions League, these players would probably choose another destination.

I totally agree with this ..... even up to the point that runners-up shouldn't get into the Champions League .....

A Champions League should be exactly that ..... a competition just for Champions of that country !

The only way a country should have two representatives is if one is the defending Champions League winner and then another team from that country can enter , but only if they won their domestic league....... or maybe this could be an exception for a runner-up to be allowed into the Champions League (?)

However because money is such a big factor in world football, and countries like England, Spain, Italy have teams with such appeal for tv coverage all over the globe, it will be difficult to reduce their numbers.

After all , which game would attract more viewers on a world-wide scale .... Real Madrid v Chelsea or Wisła Krakow v Bayern Munich or Rangers v Benfica ?

I agree Polanglik. Look : there were 4 English clubs at the beginning of the Champions League, in the semifinals there are still 3 of them. That's stupid.

Well, if Wisła never plays big games like these, i'm sure they will never attract world viewers... Let them play, and they'll have fans in every part of the world ^^

I dont think that is stupid... those teams got to the semi's on merit....it is not at all easy to get there.

What merit ? They have the best players on the Earth... :P
It is easy ^^ One or maybe two English clubs would be enough, we know they can reach the final and win the cup.
