In the UK women in their late 30s early 40s who haven't met men they feel they want to be with are having children by whatever method. We're talking about professional women or women who are working class, do you (Polish males and females) think that this would become common place in Poland.

My point, will the traditially family fade away... Don't get me wrong I know that divorce and single parents exist in Poland Im not that stupid, but I'm talking about women deciding that men are not that imporant when it comes to having a family.

Most women in Poland don't want to have children anymore their in late 30's. I checked out a Polish dating site "sympatia" and all women who are in their late 30's, early 40's never want to have children. It's a Polish thinking pattern, that you're too old for this. And they are really surprised that someone would want to have children that age.

But how many of these women are being honest with themselves, its a web site and honesty on a website should realy be called in to question...Im asking this because my sister in law is a professional and has many friends who are in the above age bracket and have decided (some have already taken action) that they want children.

do you think this will change krysia as women's expectations and role in life changes in poland as it has done in other european countries. child birth at this age is a fairly new phenomena in the uk for example

It is very popular in the US to have kids later in life. Poland is slowly getting used to the idea, but many Poles cannot afford large families, and when they're in their 40's it might cause too much stress.
