abu3issa 14 | 42 6 Jan 2013 #1So I was going to be invited to Poland by my girl friend but I don't think she can... can she? She's a student so I honestly don't know it's possible to get Zaproszenie by a Polish student? My other option is to go on a tourist visa but I don't know how to arrange that. Any ideas?
kcharlie 2 | 165 6 Jan 2013 #2abu3issaIf you're an EU citizen, you don't need a visa and might not even need a passport. If your country issues national identity cards, they're good enough for crossing the border. If you're a citizen of another country, you need to check specifically what requirements there are. Your girlfriend may need to get the relevant paperwork done at her District Office. I've sent out work invitations to some Ukrainians a good few years back, and as far as I remember, it was quite a straightforward process. That said, I was doing it from the position of an employer, so it might be different. It's up to your girlfriend to ask around in the local bureaucracy.
OP abu3issa 14 | 42 7 Jan 2013 #3Thanks for your responseNo I'm not EU citizen, it would have made my life more simple :PI'm a Yemeni citizen from Hadhramout residing in Saudi Arabia. She's going to visit them this week and see. Hopefully everything will be fine

WielkiPolak 56 | 1,008 15 Feb 2015 #7Merged: Visa for PolandI am going to write an invitation for someone to come to Poland soon but I have never done this before. Does someone know the procedure?
Respect - | 18 15 Feb 2015 #8I haven't done it before but knew a bit about it. Firstly, you apply from your województwo for and official letter of invitation and which takes about 3months to get and based that you are eligible to be a host person.Good luck,Respect
WielkiPolak 56 | 1,008 15 Feb 2015 #9Are you sure 3 months just to do a letter of invitation? Seems a bit over the top no?
Monitor 14 | 1,818 15 Feb 2015 #10Just read this link: cudzoziemcy.info.pl/zaproszenie.php And take into consideration, that you are partially financially responsible for the person you invite.
WielkiPolak 56 | 1,008 17 Feb 2015 #11Thanks for the link. I had a read, but where exactly do I go to get an invitation form and where do I submit it? On this page is mainly gives information as to what you need to provide.
Monitor 14 | 1,818 17 Feb 2015 #12When you google for this application then you will see that they are published on Urząd Wojewódzki websites. I guess that you should bring it filled to the one you belong to:google.com/search?q=Wniosek+o+wpisanie+zaproszenia+do+ewidencji+zaprosze%C5%84
WielkiPolak 56 | 1,008 17 Feb 2015 #13Okay thanks. So I assume this is the application formpaszporty.lodzkie.eu/data/other/wniosek_o_wpisanie_zaproszenia_do_ewiden_2.pdfand it needs to be handed in filled out to your local urzad wojewodski.
Respect - | 18 17 Feb 2015 #14And put it onto you that, the pprocess might last 3months or on.Respect!
WielkiPolak 56 | 1,008 17 Feb 2015 #15I've spoken to people about how long the process lasts. Apparently it takes a while but not 3 months [unless there are complications or something].
Harry 17 Feb 2015 #16I wonder if you not living in Poland or having a Polish passport will complicate things.
Monitor 14 | 1,818 17 Feb 2015 #17The form requires you to write what right you have to an apartment, so you rather have to live in Poland. I don't see a reason why foreign passport would be a problem, especially that there is a field for nationality.
