Hello,

I am currently employed with Xerox Corp. in the states. I am moving back home to Poland and would continue my career with Xerox. I have dual citizenship but will need to apply for a "dowód osobisty". I had some general questions which the Xerox HR department could'nt answer.

If I continue my career with Xerox:

  • - will I still be liable for US income taxes on the monies earned in Europe?
  • - is it possible to roll over my 401k into a IRA or European stock market?

Thanks in advance,

pj

Until you renounce the US citizenship, yes.

No. The US-Polish treaty on avoiding double taxation does not allow for that. Just read the law or seek some tax advice.
