Even average doesn't consist of stealing eggs and squatting in apartments (which are probably still available for that purpose). Some people figure things out, some don't.

T.A. experience was character building I am sure he looks back on it with humor. The fact that he has decided, to return to Poland and try again " hats off ". I would agree that some people figure things out, some people don't. I would prefer to have somebody on my team that was street smart and loyal to the cause because of their experience, over a graduate with no experience. I believe it was Richard Branson who said "give me street savvy over education any day of the week"

With the limited resources I had, I planned as best I could. However, sometimes, through no fault of your own, even the best laid plans fall to pieces when something out of your control adds itself unexpectedly to the equation. You cannot anticipate everything. Even if you could, with the limited resources I had, I couldn't have covered all the risks either way.

I took a risk. Possible failure is inherent in the word risk. My risk resulted in failure. However, I'd rather take a risk and fail than not take any risks at all.

Fantastic story, TransAtlantic (btw, isn't it the title of one of the books by Witold Gombrowicz). Good to have people on the forum who see things in proper light. Someone is asking: 'what jobs pay 10,000 zlotych per month? and where can i find one?' while saying nothing about his/her qualifications.

I guess it's a question of risk management. You have to learn somewhere of course, and failure is definately a motivator. We have the option of learning from failure, quite a few people don't.

I totally agree with 'LovePolskas' comment. I live in Canada and make a decent salary. I do keep telling myself that one day I would like to go back although I keep postponing as I do want to be comfortable financially. As time passes it just gets more difficult as certain events make my life here more established. For instance, I have two your kids that are attending school here, making friends etc. They are getting an English education, learning French and Spanish. For their benefit I may not be able to move but rather only visit.
My circumstances are complicated, but for those of you who do not have as many restrictions, if I was in your shoes, I would definitely live in Poland. It is a beautiful country filled with great people and even after 30 years I miss it tremendously.

Why the hell would you ever want to move back to Poland for good? No offense, but are you that thick headed? Yes, you may miss Poland, but you will NOT get the same quality of life as you will in Canada. If you go back to Poland, what guarantee is there that you will land a decent job, with benefits? Why would you move when your children are doing well in Canada, making friends and having a great education? Your children have way more of a future in Canada than in Poland. Be grateful that you live in Canada Dariusceg. I'm not only talking about money, but most things are better in Canada. Better economy, more employment/better wages, far better healthcare, better pension, good infrastructure, and some of the best universities in the world that your children can attend in the future. The only thing better about Poland IMO, is that you have cities that are over 800 years old, with lots of history, and beautiful ryneks, etc, but its not worth it to move back to Poland.
