This is the one of choice in Warsaw http://www.chris.com.pl/

Speak to the parents of your children's classmates. If they are going on camps it will be with ' Chris '

If it is a language issue use ' google translate ' there is not a company in warsaw who concentrates solely on English speaking kids. There is not a big enough market for it, most families here have a one parent that is Poish. So you have to muck in with the Polish groups, many of the children will speak English.

Try this site http://www.mumsandtots.com/ you may find some parents that organize activities that your kids could join in. As far as Warsaw is concerned it is horse riding, tennis or cycling during the summer. Other activities that are a snip, are ballet for the girls and music lessons for both.

Good luck

A "British school" in Poland should be teaching them Polish and if they're camp age they should do okay with a Polish group by summer. Some of the adults and other children will probably know enough English if there's an emergency and the rest of the time their adjustment to life in Poland will be greatly aided (even if they don't spend that long here the language experience will help them on its own).

As warszawski said, there's no market for all-English camps in Poland (except for language learning). You might look into that (sending your kids to English immersion camp for the other kids to practice with) though that seems a little .... unsettling in ways I can't articulate.

Hi thank you all for your help! On another forum someone told me about International Summer Camp organized by European Organization for Culture Exchange and Warsaw Tennis School - City Tennis Club. They have two camps in polish mountain and whole holiday daily camps in Warsaw. Such a relief! It is : citytennisclub.pl/camp where you can download brochures and sign up your kids.

I think I saw flyers regarding this international summer camp at British Embassy so you might get some information over there as well

Aren't you doing your kids harm by isolating them from Polish environment?
Sulivan  May 15, 11, 14:17    #13
The point is to have them spent time with English speaking Polish kids.

So they'll use Polish all the time, then?

Reads a bit like an advert, doesn't it. And someone that "just came to warsaw" then says "two camps in polish mountain and whole holiday daily camps" sounds a bit sus, don't they? I wonder why 'Nanncy' was 'at British Embassy' and how long The British Embassy has been leaving 'flyers' around? HM Ambassodor promoting products and services is 'such a relief'. ;-)

Wonder if 'they' have the same IP address....

Dodgier still if you do a quick internet search. This 'Nanncy' who 'thought she came across flyers' crops up elsewhere on the internet (including another thread here' promoting this increasingly dodgy sounding 'City Tennis Club'. But hey, maybe she really did 'come across flyers at british embassy'. Probably while trying to drop them off through the security gates.

One to avoid.

BTW, chris.co.pl, Program and harctur all offer very well established summer camps for kids and have a good reputation.

Look at the online brochure here http://www.citytennisclub.pl/camp/doc/BrochureInternationalSummerCamp2 011.pdf

Bottom of the page " we invited children from " NOT we are affiliated with. They mention The British School and Nord Anglia Education, as far as I know NAE are the owners of The British school of Warsaw. At least any parent wishing to send their child on this camp can check with the list of schools at the bottom of the page for a third party recommendation. As CTT has placed the school logos on their promotional material.

It looks like this company is some sort of start up, in this link they are trying to recruit Tennis coaches in the UK , for Warsaw dated May 10, 2011, http://www.londontennis.co.uk/forums/forumviewthread_forums.php?forumi d=121&threadid=7202

The first question I would ask City Tennis Club, why don't you recruit Polish tennis coaches, there are some very good caches in Warsaw and they speak excellent English.

Yes - I can't open the link where I am, but it sounds like them. They've been around for a while and are respected. I've also come across the one you mentioned and heard nothing bad.

During commie times they used to organize English-Polish language camps under the auspices of UNESCO. British students and teachers would come over to Poland (Okocim, most of the time) for 5 weeks, and they taught us English. That was very useful, but access for Polish kids was limited only to children whose parent(s) were teachers.

The cost was covered by both governments.

There were also British Polonia camps in Poland in a nice little castle in western Poland, for Polish Brits to learn Polish and for Polish kids to learn English. We were able to polish up our English but the visitors from UK mostly indulged in inexpensive attractions, such as alcohol.

That sounds like a great idea, Dariusz. I wonder if any other countries do that.

That's one of the good points about both the British School in Sadyba and the American School in Powsinek - they have diplomats' kids from all over the world.

Actually, I mixed things up a little.
The camps for Polonia were for both the US and UK based kids + Poles.
The UNESCO oncs were only for British kids and a few British teachers + Poles.

I have experience of these schools through my children, it has the positive side as you mentioned, also the negative side as the school is very transient, parents are posted to another country or loose their jobs and the company no longer pays the fees, so they can't afford to leave their kids there. There are at least 6-8 schools in Warsaw that are far superior to the BSW and the ASW.

I am arranging a football training in English for kids between the ages of 8 to 12. Kids will enhance their English skills as well as their football attributes. I am a native English speaker.

For more information search Language Football club on Facebook or contact me at daopica@gmail.com.

Sorry JonnyM and warszawski but I'm not connected with any company and I'm sorry if my post sounded like advertising. My kids go to the British School
so warszawski we might even know each other. I was excited to find an option for expat kids who don't speak Polish very well. And although it might
be start-up my kids went there for a tennis lesson last week and they loved it so I don't worry about the camp.

Have a try with beestar. I really like DD to join some enrichment programs. Summer vocation is great time. I prefer to keep a balance between preparing for school and have fun in summer vocation. DD’s teacher sent us to this cool website beestar for free math program. The summer session is great, full of all real life world problems, challenging stuff to help kids thinking. We use it every year. DD enjoys it.

Actually you are very connected with a company. In the other thread where you have a house to let you post a link to the advert. It has your phone number - exactly the same number on your 'city tennis club' website.

So you are lying. This tennis place is evidently something to avoid.
Sulivan:

Given the flagrant advertising and the proprietor pretending to be a customer, perhaps people should worry and certainly think twice before entrusting their kids to you.
