Work Permit for Spouse of Polish Citizen?

My husband (a Polish citizen) and I (US citizen) are looking to move from the US to Rzeszow. I would like to teach English and supplement with private lessons. I have a Bachelors degree as well as experience training adults and teaching children. I am completing my TESOL certificate.

I am looking for a little clarification. Is it true that as a spouse of a Polish citizen, I would not need a work permit? I heard that if I apply for a residency visa, I automatically have permission to work. Is this correct?

Additionally I would appreciate any information on job leads in Rzeszow, the demand for private English lessons and the going rates for an experienced teacher. Thank you very much for your help. These forums are wonderful!

Sorry, another question! Business English or Teaching Children?

My degree is in Business Administration. I have experience working as a project controller and training adults on software applications. I have also worked as a public school teacher and have taught children from age 5 to 18. I have two sons, age 2 and 5, so I do have experience with children.

Which is an easier niche in Poland, teaching English for business or for children? Specifically in Rzeszow? What is the salary difference? Can I teach English to children if my Polish is basic conversational with grammatical errors? Thank you again!

You only have permission once the residence permit is granted - not before.

Job leads? Forget it - Poland works very much on being seen in-person. The demand? As in any other European country, except those with a great command of English. Going rates? Incredibly variable - however, I have my doubts that you'll be treated as anything other than a first-year teacher. [

Neither is easier - both are demanding. Salary difference? Impossible to say - I was once dealing with an offer of 100PLN/hour to teach a 2 year old child. Can you teach children? Only you know.
