Hi,

I'm an English Teacher going to work in Koszalin soon and I'm REALLY nervous as it seems kind of small and I'm worried that I will be bored and lonely! Does anyone have any experience of the place? Or know anyone there?
I'd really appreciate any information at all!

Thanks!

Dawn

It's about 150,000 people, so you won't get lonely!

true but one of the famous Polish resort Mielno is only 10km from Koszalin. In the summer it attracts people from the whole country.

When will you arrive in Poland, and via what route? I have no personal knowledge of Koszalin, but a student of mine is from there and she sings nothing but praises for it. If you have any questions before your arrival, feel free to pm me.

My girlfriend (of the last five years) is from the next town along the coast from Koszalin, let me know if you need any help.

- why crows flap only one wing when flying past Koszalin?
- with other wing they cover their eyes ;)

You need to speak to " wildrover " I have been through Koszalin on a couple of occasions, plenty of road works, as someone pointed out it is close to Mielno. If you are into water sports windsurfing , kite surfing they have quite a large inland lake.

just check Wiki, although I know the city quite well, but have not been there for the last 10 years.

Mielno train ride - 15 minutes every hour.
Koszalin is on the train route to the Tri - City, around 3 hour ride.

Overall not too small and not too big, perfect I would think since he commuting to work should not be a problem.

As for entertainment I am sure there are some pubs and galleries, there is a theatre (if you are into that),lots of greenery, parks it depends what you are into.

You will get to know people. What about the school you are going to work? I am sure they will give you some assistance:) and a tour.

Good luck:)

Hi, Dawn
I may be moving to Koszalin myself shortly to teach English. I just wondered how you got on and whether you would recommend the move?
