Working as a Referee in Poland

Hi all,

Unlike everyone else, I decided to leave the UK and move to Poland. I've been living here 6 months now and am working as an English teacher.

I came to this forum because I used to referee local football in the UK and would like to continue in Poland but am finding it difficult to get started. I've tried emails to the Polish FA but had no reply.

I notice one member (TripTic) used to referee in Poland and wanted to know how I can get started and who to contact. I am fully qualified and have documentation from the English FA. I am based in Zielona Gora.

Hope someone can help.

The referee situation in Poland is currently a mess (I'm talking about soccer). Too much corruption, bought games, etc. But it's being sorted out with the help of the Polish government. Maybe you'll have a good chance to find a job as a referee in Poland - because Poland needs independent, outsiders to do a good and objective job.

I don't mean as a professional referee, just doing grassroots games.

probably your mistake is trying to contact the Polish FA, if you mean PZPN, because they are responsable only for I and II division (so only I and II division referees, too), and I guess you should start at a lower level, in such case you should contact regional FA,

Lubuski Związek Piłki Nożnej
65-525 Zielona Góra
ul. Ptasia 2A
(or the following P.O. box:
65-514 Zielona Góra
skr. poczt. 7)
tel. (68) 452-82-01
faks: (68) 452-82-02
e-mail: lubuski@zpn.pl

if you've already contacted them, not the national FA, and still no answer, then I don't know :(
maybe you wrote in English and noone understands English there (it wouldn't really surpirse me)

Thank you so much.

I did contact PZPN as that was the only contact point I could find. I'll try the regional FA. Just need to get someone to translate an email now..................

Many, many thanks.

Contact local OZPN.

Grzegorz, that's what he's going to do, contact local (in this case Lubuski) ZPN :)
