Still looking for family records of my Grandfather Gustav Wilhelm Kosak born in Wartenberg, Schlesien on APRIL 16, 1880. His parents were Wilhelm and Lina(or possibly Mina) Bartolain Kosak. She died young and his father remarried. Possibly there was a half sister born in 1893 and named Charlotte I think there may have been an Emma Elizabeth who married someone named Pollack also. I have an early German family bible with almost illegible names : possibly Yohann Christian Baltzer, Anna Fabiana Baltzer, Anna Katrina D ?? Somewhere I read that Franz Korzlovski changed the name to Kosak at some point.

Contact the area they are from Ie a town and give them all the information you have and explain what you want to accomplish. I have just traced my family line that I thought were killed in the war, without even intending to. Took me a year to find the right contact as I wasn't sure where to turn then I get a whole bundle of information in the matter of days!

In all doubt ask on here
