I have never used this type of spelling, mind you, I am not a very good speller myself so I will not get too bogged down in a debate about spelling.

I am right and you are wrong. We spell the word generalize as generalize and in fact it was you who started this off by criticizing a Polish girl's spelling of the word. I did not start this topic of conversation. As for the bloody Serbian girl, I could not care two brass monkeys what you do. And in the same room, I would say the same to your face. I realise that you are struggling with the concept of British spelling Michal you only alledgedly live here then again that doesn't stop the natives either. You're learning but we're very fond of our ise they're the window to our nationality apparently.

But because it's called English we're rightly proud that it was the other lot that mucked up the spelling, not us. The only reason it's the norm as you claim is because they're the ones that make the computer software.
When Word goes through an English English text you see more red than on the Sudanese Coast.

Generalise or generalize both are perfectly acceptable. Both are correct. It's the same with quite a few words where you can either use an 's' or an 'x'........both are grammatically correct !

It just means something like ' Go to Hell' or go to the devil......but it's more like swearing at someone when you say it in Polish...... Well, that's what i was taught anyway and I was brought up 'proper' like <g> There is no justification for michal making that comment towards you !

There was no error in the spelling/spellings and Tornado was correct. it's not about arguing, a lot of people here rely on knowing about such issues as they are learning English. It appears that Michal is the one who wishes to argue the toss !!
