Who do you use to make calls to Poland?

Hello

I use a 18866 dialing code to make cheap calls abroad and have also tried the 0840 prefix system but they often give me grief. Of course BT works each time but at vast expense.
Any suggestions for a reliable service to call landlines in Poland please.

I use the 0844 numbers given on the international call checker on moneysavingexpert.com at the moment, I call 0844 200 9898 and then dial the landline number in Poland - costs 0.5p a min.

18866
18185
0844 200 9595
0844 838 4840

All my calls are to firms in Poland, would that make a difference....
Just tried 0844 200 9898 - I did dial 0048 - and the message said I would like to call the UK...........

I use a phone card to call Poland from the US. It costs me 2-3 cents per minute.

I use Skype's "to go" service, this is good if you call the same number regularly. What I do is use my landline phone to dial a special UK number which connects to my beloved's landline in Poland. It seems to be more reliable and clearer than ringing direct...

I'll put the kettle on !!

So far two tourist offices & two travel agencies & a bus company....no luck
However, one hotel, one travel agency fax, one bus company fax & mobiles okay

For any telephone experts..is there a Polish telephone system that does not like
re-direct calls/0844 etc

This number I used to call the Polish Ministry of Justice, and it worked like a dream:
0844 861 25 25
- it's 1p per minute and has never let me down in three years. Enjoy! :-)

Keep trying several times. The line isn't always good, but it works in the long run.

I did after I posted on the forum but still did not get through.
With other cheap numbers I sometimes received a message saying
that I had dialed an incorrect number - please check and try again

I don't know then... :-(
I can't say the service I got was seamless, but I did get through any time I needed to call - sooner or later, but still did.

I am beginning to think it might be something to do with telecomm systems in offices but still find it odd that when I tried to fax to the same office it worked first time. Do office telecomm systems in buildings have a different set up for faxes rather than voice phone chat.....
I am now at the stage where I am trying to mobile numbers because that would still be cheaper on a 0844 type number than BT's overpriced landline.....

How about two yoghurt pots and a very long piece of string?

Smokeyone - are you calling from an office? If you are, that might be the reason that you have some problems.

I use free-international-calls-on-mobiles.com

For poland and estonia it is 1p a min . Good rate and good quality. I like it

I text TXT2TALK to 80556 and get credit to make calls to Estonia
