In the spirit of the vodka thread what's your favorite? Mine is warka strong with zywiec being 2nd. I had a few cans of okocim palone last year and rather liked that as well. I don't know if they are still making it or not.

Yeah I'm pretty sure its czech. Strangely enough at some places I was at it was the only option on tap.

Pilzner Urquel - it's the top-notch product in Czech. I know what I am writing, I live a few kilometres from Polish-Czech boarder.

I'll second that, but I did quite like the Polish beers I tried - coming from England we dont really have that many decent beers - I think Stella is the most popular here (I know it's not English) or wife beater as it's better known.

There's lots of nice Polish beer (Tyskie and Warka Strong are especially good), but what's that Dog in the Fog stuff? I understand that it's marketed as an English beer, but I live in England and I've never heard of it.

Hmm some of my favorites come from England. Or at least the british isles. I heard good things about this Old speckled hen and picked up some yesterday. Pretty good beer.

they're bitters not largers like Tyskie, but yes they do brewe some wonderful bitters over here - I suppose they'er a little bit like the dark beer in Czech but not as heavy

How come nobody mentioned "LECH PREMIUM"? I'm really disappointed.

When I was in UK I saw a commercial of Stella in TV featuring polish actors. It was the one with priests on ice. Personally, I found both, the commercial and the beer not very good.

the words beggers and chosers springs to mind Matyjasz like I said largers in the uk are pretty poor, some places have started to sell Polish beer which seems to be going down a storm, the only problem is it's very strong and not sure if your average brit could really manage too many!

I didnt realise they used Poilsh actors for the ad - oh well you learn something new every day

I personally like Lech and Zywiec -- but there are so many kind of beers in Poland and most of them are really good. Actually I think each province has at least one "original" brand.

Yes. Not a bad beer at all.

If you like malt liquor. I just tried £omza ML last night. It was probably one of the best malt liquors I've tasted.

I still think that Bosman(szczecin) on tap is the best in PL

One thing I can't understand is how some poles drink beer warm or hot. Two words that go great together are "Cold Beer".
